Full Time Maintenance:
Position Summary
The Brandenburg Housing Authority is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities Department. This position is responsible for maintaining public housing properties in a safe, clean, and functional condition while providing excellent service to residents. The successful candidate will perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and custodial duties throughout the Authority's housing developments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential units, common areas, and Authority-owned facilities.
- Respond to work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs.
- Assist with apartment turnovers, including cleaning, repairs, and preparation for new occupancy.
- Perform preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
- Maintain grounds, including snow removal, landscaping, and litter collection.
- Inspect properties for safety hazards and report deficiencies.
- Assist with emergency maintenance calls as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and maintenance activities.
- Interact courteously and professionally with residents, staff, contractors, and the public.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years of building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair techniques.
- Ability to operate maintenance equipment and hand tools safely.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Occasional evening, weekend, or emergency call-out work may be required.
